Access to Art in Action On-Line Lessons for Grades 1-5

Docents - please make sure to register with Art in Action in order to access the on-line lessons. AIA presently has grades 1-5 up on the site and is working to complete grades 6-8 by December.

Here are the directions:

1. Go to http://www.artinaction.org/
2. Pull down the "Join Now!" menu, Selct "Create Account"
3. Enter the information - fill in all * marked fields. Fill in your school name and state.
4. Press "Create My Account"
5. Check your e-mail box for a confirmation e-mailfrom Art in Action. Click on account activation link, and now you have an account. If you did not receive an e-mail, check your spam or bulk mail folder.
6. E-mail your school coordinator Cynthia Tognotti (cynthiatognotti@aol.com) for Grades 1,3,5 & 7 or Monica Marren (mnmarren@hotmail.com) for Grades, 2,4,6 & 8 to let us know you have created an account.
7. The school coordinator will validate your account
8. You now have access to on-line lessons

Get $$$ For Our School!

We can earn a $150 credit for EACH referral, which leads a new school to signing up for the Art In Action Program. This could pay for part of NDE's licensing fee's or Art Boxes. Just help make the connection to the school Principal or PTA and Art In Action will do the rest!

We already have one school we are working on. If we get 7 more referral we can pay for the art lessons for 2010-2011. If we get 16 we can pay for the licensing fee's too! Remember it needs to be a school not currently enrolled in the AIA Program. to see the list go to:

Art In Action On-Line Lessons & Work Shops

Hi Everyone,

Worried you'll forget what you learned in training? No worries, now it's on-line!

Today Monica and Cynthia attended the Art In Action School Coordinators meeting and got a glimpse of the NEW On-Line Lessons. Becoming a Docent has never been easier. Docents from Grade 1-5 can go to www.artinaction.org , become a new member and access detailed instructions and videos on how to teach each lesson.

In addition there are all kinds of workshops:

Welcome Back NDE friends and families.

This year we are looking forward to a fabulous Art In Action Program
Co- Coordinators Monica Marren and Cynthia Tognotti have been busy cleaning paint sets, sharpening sketch pencils, co-mingling oil pastels and organizing the supplies for an exciting year.

The parents are e-mailing us requesting Docent positions and we are off to a great start. To become a Docent for Grades 1, 3, 5 or 7 contact Cynthia at cynthiatognotti@aol.com. To become a Docent for Grades 2, 4, 6 or 8, please contact Monica Marren at mnmarren@hotmail.com

All Docents have the privilege or taking training, which is really a fabulous art class at Art In Action in Menlo Park. Classes fill up quickly so register today at http://www.artinaction.org/ . Click on Training and the schedule will pop up.
